Autumn

November 20, 2019February 3, 2021 ~ Jan Ruth
My second favourite time of the year in the Welsh hills; especially outstanding is the colour of the Virginia Creeper decorating the famous tearooms in Trefriw: Tu Hwnt i’r Bont – a 15th-century grade II listed building.

The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway. Love the rattle and romance of a steam train! (Great way of enjoying a linear walk instead of a circuit). The Ffestiniog is the world’s oldest narrow gauge railway, and the Welsh Highland is the UK’s longest heritage railway running for 25 miles from Caernarfon, past the foot of Snowdon and through the Aberglaslyn Pass.
An emotive trio of stories with themes of home & travel.
